Yes- Neil Riordan has been- at least for the past 10-12 years- a good source of information on the SC industry and has been one of its fiercest critics. He is spot on with the competitive environment ( to me SC´s is still disruptive tech for marginally effective billion $ drug income for BP) and the fact that IP is too weak to justify billions of development money.

I found his statement on his spinal cord trial discussions with a semi-government agency owning IPC IP very interesting- I presume he refers to CIRM. IPC tech is unlikely to work safely in my view just like embryonic cells. Too much manipulation, probably similar as CAR-T on which I also read disturbing studies, despite the helo- news reports.

Anyway- still see Cytori moving to Texas, if they survive- the SC climate is healthier there.

Board moderator and Site-owner. I still regret the day I started analysing the prospects of MacroPore (now Cytori) back in 2004- a left-over from the tech-bubble at that time from the century change in my portfolio- and became addicted to Cytori´s fat cell technology.
