There has never been overwhelming evidence that statins help cardiac patients. Most of those drugs have been bulldozed through the AHA and past the FDA by well paid experts in those organizations and given the likes of Pfizer billions of dollars to play with and which drugs probably killed quite a few people in the process.

Over the past couple of years- new studies on statins and new insights in diets are coming out which kind of destroy past views. But one should say- better too late than never.

Do not fall in that trap and be very critical with your doctor if he prescribes that junk. Your liver and heart will be appreciative

I quite statins already 4 years ago and am doing fine (that is: better)- a new study by Japanese scientists came out that does not even use the word "may" in its title... :write:

Statins stimulate atherosclerosis and heart failure: pharmacological mechanisms.

Author information
Abstract
In contrast to the current belief that cholesterol reduction with statins decreases atherosclerosis, we present a perspective that statins may be causative in coronary artery calcification and can function as mitochondrial toxins that impair muscle function in the heart and blood vessels through the depletion of coenzyme Q10 and 'heme A', and thereby ATP generation. Statins inhibit the synthesis of vitamin K2, the cofactor for matrix Gla-protein activation, which in turn protects arteries from calcification. Statins inhibit the biosynthesis of selenium containing proteins, one of which is glutathione peroxidase serving to suppress peroxidative stress. An impairment of selenoprotein biosynthesis may be a factor in congestive heart failure, reminiscent of the dilated cardiomyopathies seen with selenium deficiency. Thus, the epidemic of heart failure and atherosclerosis that plagues the modern world may paradoxically be aggravated by the pervasive use of statin drugs. We propose that current statin treatment guidelines be critically reevaluated.

Chris Centeno wrote a nice article on the issue (not his first one on the theme :yep: )

Are cholesterol lowering drugs causing heart disease??

This is important stuff- which you should know!!!

I quit statins (Zorcor) three years ago. Vascular surgeon, neurologist, podiatrists and family doctor all agreed with action. Thanks Fas for a great website and open forum!

I've known for years about the SCAM that is statins. They actually cause calcification of arteries!

here is a good article:

fas, nice heads up on Statins. I was on Lipitor for my high cholesterol, arm and shoulder pain unbearable. Stopped taking it and went to a power juicing regimen. I now drink my vegetables and fruits from an Omega power juicer. I'm down to my high school weight, my cholesterol numbers have dropped drastically and have never felt better. Doctors just love writing those scripts for those damn Statins, it can help some, but does more damage in the long run.

I took Lipitor a long time ago, and have never been the same. Lots of pain. I was young and in a great shape. Doctors made me sick and bitter. Every time I see a doctor, I feel worse.

CYTXer-

you need some natural stuff. I am learning at present and taking myself as guinea pig.

If successful I simply will share on another page and CCDG, D9, Mtpinman and everybody else will support you and other victims of Carnegy indoctrination. :yep:

Juicing is great!

I used to get these terrible warts on my left hand from all my years playing pool at the billiard hall. Dermatologist was utterly useless. As a last ditch effort a nutritionist friend of mine bluntly told me - "you eat like crap, you drink too much and smoke disgusting newport cigarettes"
So...
Within a month I stopped smoking, installed a reverse osmosis water filter in my house and started drinking my breakfast every morning in a smoothie (didnt even bother going to the juicer). Oatmeal, baby spinach, blueberries/strawberries, 1 banana and vanilla flavored almond milk. I started taking a few anto-oxidant supplements religiously and within a month - skin was blemish free. Body healed itself (from the inside out).

Then my wife took it one step further by making me go LITERALLY all organic. I haven't looked back since. No artificial sweeteners. No heavy metals. I wont touch fluoride. on and on. Shoot ....I've even become a beer sommelier! I absolutely love a good micro-brew. And in America its all the rage right now. The beer industry is the epitome of what America should be - entrepreneurs who love what they do and want to bring great product to market.

CCDG, my doctor chewed me out for cutting the Lipitor without his consult, and threatened to drop me as a patient. I told him what I had done with my new diet, and after bloodwork was conducted, he was quite startled at the results. He became very curious as to how I accomplished this, and now he and his wife follow a regimen similar to mine. Dark beers are a staple on my beverage list as well, they are rich in B vitamins, packed with anti oxidants, fiber iron.........the list goes on. :vegas: :vegas:

Terrible. Hopefully this isn't affected as I have to take it every day. (you can guess as to the reasons if you read my post here .)

Thanks Fas!

In the past 20 years, I must've seen 20 doctors or so. I would say 9 didn't know $H!T, 9 didn't care and gave out totally WRONG medications, and only 2 of them knew what the heck was going on and had some ideas on how to go about it. mind you, both came with treatments that did not involve much medication, and mostly with remedies anyone can pick up from a natural pharmacy.

Those 9 who didn't care must be banned from prescribing since they did so much damage with wrong medications and the side effects that I am still suffering from. same old butchers some are.

I hope for a day I can go to Okyanos and have a shot of good ole juice...

Yes absolutely.

Ultimately- that is in x years (X>8 or 10 ??????)- the biggest market of them all and that SHOULD be ANTI-AGING. :vegas:

That is just common sense and DDr. Heinrich already has done quite a few in Wien and his Arab clinic.....I believe however he turned away from his Celution 800, but surely will be reconsidering after the CTX-2 is on the market...

I am sure I will have one too some fine day... :yep:

Fas

Yes... :vegas:

You are saying you will have a treatment soon, or wait a few more years? Do you have any safety concerns, other than the day of the treatment, and procedure related "risks", etc... nothing stem cell related anymore, I hope?

No - not yet.

I am 65 now- had myself checked up in 2014 by all kinds of traditional specialists and received a clean bill of health. :yep:

Now in 2015- I am seeing a homeopath/shrink, who also offers a lot of natural stuff. Am taking spirulina for instance and specific homeopathic medication to get myself in the physical- and psychological shape to start a joyful and active retirement.

I see a future IV shot of my own fat cells as a fast way to do a regenerative job in the body, but at this time its all too expensive. I think the pricing of Cytori for disposables is maybe OK for starters. In the future they have to come down to increase acceptance. At that time- I will go for it.

At present and in the future, there are and there will be no safety issues with one´s own cells.

This is short- 1 Minute 17 seconds- but very powerful information from 2007 and the WHO. World Health Organization.

Amazing how few people have only seen it and that statins are still sold and taken at this time.

Purely unbelievable.
