So where is the selling pressure coming from ?
End of March 2013 was generally weak for CYTX and yet the short side covered nearly 600K shares those last two weeks.
3/28/2013..... 7,233,751
So if the shorts took advantage of the weakness...who was doing the selling ?

I do not know Hedge- but I strongly believe that some folks that had a lot on the table took some off in view of "broken promises" and change of "IR policy".

Lets say- CC/Cytori is unique to the extend that they "project/forecast" deals within a certain time frame. I have never heard any corporate officers do the same. If you do not get explanations as an investor, as to "why that forecast went sour" and no timing can predicted any longer, it is obvious some (especially investors which do not have a clue-of which there are quite a few) leave the yard.

sad but true -I think :winky:

Board moderator and Site-owner. I still regret the day I started analysing the prospects of MacroPore (now Cytori) back in 2004- a left-over from the tech-bubble at that time from the century change in my portfolio- and became addicted to Cytori´s fat cell technology.

With the end of the Q it is possible some pro money also lightened up.

Besides, everyone can read the usual balance sheet issues that never changes other than 6 month reprieves at a time.

I still believe management can not fix this issue in time with a partner and will do another raise, they will mis-judge the amount they truly need and around and around we go. This also providing pressure imho, that has continued.

Anyway..thanks for the reply.

Last point.....I still think the Yen fall against the US dollar could be a issue as well...its down over 25% and likely to continue lower.

I know we are talking 60-80% margins...but at some point it effects expected revenues meaningfully..especially at this stage when we are counting every dollar of sales and the bulk come from Japan.
